A 24-year-old HR executive was groped in the first class of the general compartment of a Central Railway train on Monday. However, instead of helping her, the crowd heckled her while boarding the train, The Times of India reported.
The incident happened when the woman, working at a firm in Andheri, was on her way home around 7pm when she boarded the general first-class compartment of a train from Ghatkopar to go to Mulund. She said as the compartment was crowded, she realised she would not be able to alight at Mulund, so she waited on one side to alight at Nahur, when a man got up from his seat and stood beside her. The woman alleged that in the pretext of adjusting her bag, the man touched her inappropriately twice.
