Man dies after jumping from train on wrong side at Mumbai Central station

Eyewitnesses reported that instead of exiting safely, he tried to leap over the iron fence separating the platform from the tracks. In the process, his neck got caught in the fencing, resulting in fatal injuries

A 27-year-old man, Dhila Rajesh Hamira Bhai, has tragically lost his life in Mumbai at Mumbai Central Station near platform number 4, while attempting to alight from a train on the wrong side.

Eyewitnesses said that instead of exiting safely, he tried to leap over the iron fence separating the platform from the tracks. In the process, his neck got caught in the fencing, resulting in fatal injuries.

Emergency services arrived at 10:14 am, and declared him dead at the scene. His body was subsequently taken to Nair Hospital for postmortem examination.

In a similar and equally concerning incident, a 22-year-old youth, Shatrughna Kanojia, sustained serious head injuries after falling off a moving local train at Bandra station. The mishap occurred during the peak rush hour, a time when platforms are usually crowded with daily commuters heading home.
