Nagpur civic polls: Congress claims 150 rebels withdrew, BJP says 96 pulled back

Ahead of the Nagpur Municipal Corporation polls, Congress claimed 150 party rebels withdrew their nominations, while BJP said 96 rebels stepped aside, signalling last-minute consolidation by both parties before voting

Days after the conclusion of Maharashtra local body elections, Congress on Friday claimed that all 150 party rebels in the Nagpur civic poll fray have withdrawn. However, the BJP said that 96 applications have been withdrawn.

Congress said that the party is working unitedly for its mission to win 100 seats in the Nagpur Municipal Corporation, as per PTI.
