In a bid to control effluence, State Pollution Control Board chief plans to send the newly elected corporators to E-waste management classes

If the State Pollution Control Board (SPCB) chief has his way, the city corporators will be sent back to school soon. A S Sadashivaiah, chairman of SPCB plans to teach netas some green lessons.

Sadashivaiah, who plans to send the newly elected corporators to E-waste management classes, said, "Roping in corporators is the best possible way to root out E-waste problems.

Over 198 corporators will be part of the initiative, which will take off shortly." He added, "Being in a city known as the Silicon Valley, we do have certain responsibilities."

During the orientation, experts will impart corporators with knowledge on E-waste management, its harmful effects and the role they can play in reducing the same.
