The practice of filling air in vehicle tyres could soon be a thing of past as the Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has introduced a free nitrogen filling service at its ROs for motorists who purchase fuel worth Rs 1,000 or above.
Traditionally air is used in all vehicle tyres, but the trend of filling Nitrogen is gradually catching up across the country as it helps maintain consistent tyre pressure, prevents rust formation on rims and stops overheating of tyres. The dry and clean gas also gives excellent driving comfort.
