Over one thousand government vehicles have been fined for violating traffic rules in the capital during an intensive drive started since January 1.

"Apart from 15,500 motorists, 1,112 government vehicles, 64 policemen and 16 police vehicles have been fined by traffic police during the drive," said Commissioner of Police Y S Dadwal.
