Amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan after the recent Pahalgam terror attack, India will conduct nationwide security drills on May 7, the officials said.
On Tuesday the BJP urged people to join the security drills scheduled on 7th may. The exercise comes after the Union Ministry of Home Affairs asked to conduct the security drills in all states and UTs to prepare for any "hostile attack" amid rising tensions with Pakistan following the April 22, 2025 pahalgam attack in Jammu and Kashmir had claimed 26 lives, mostly tourists.
