PM Modi to flag off two new trains in Gujarat on May 26

Western Railway has announced that two new train services mdash the SabarmatindashVeraval Vande Bharat Express and the ValsadndashDahod Express mdash will commence operations on May 27Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to flag off the inaugural services of both trains via video conferencing from Dahod on 26 MayThe SabarmatindashVeraval Vande Bharat Express operating under train numbers 26901 and 26902 will run six days a week excluding Thursdays The train will depart Sabarmati at 525 am and arrive at Veraval by 1225 pm For the return journey the train will leave Veraval at 240 pm and reach Sabarmati at 935 pm The train will halt at key stations including Viramgam Surendranagar Wankaner Rajkot and Junagadh Passengers will have access to airconditioned AC Chair Car and Executive Chair Car coaches offering a comfortable and swift travel experienceMeanwhile the ValsadndashDahod Express operating under train numbers 19011 and 19012 is aimed at addressing the growing passenger demand between these regions The inaugural Superfast Special service train no 09011 will leave Valsad at 1130 am on May 26 and arrive at Dahod at 525 pm Regular services will begin on May 27 with the train leaving Valsad at 515 am and reaching Dahod by 1105 am In its return journey the train will depart Dahod at 1155 am and arrive at Valsad at 805 pm This route will include stops at Bilimora Navsari Surat Ankleshwar Bharuch Miyagam Karjan Vadodara Samlaya Derol Godhra Piplod and LimkhedaThe ValsadndashDahod Express will comprise AC chair car secondclass sitting and general secondclass coachesBookings for both the SabarmatindashVeraval Vande Bharat Express and the ValsadndashDahod Express will open on Sunday at passenger reservation system PRS counters and the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation IRCTC websiteFor detailed information on train timings stops and coach composition passengers can visit the official Indian Railways website wwwenquiryindianrailgovinPM Modi to unveil development projects worth Rs 24000 crore in GujaratPrime Minister PM Narendra Modi will be on a twoday visit to Gujarat on May 26 and 27 where he will unveil a series of development projects in Dahod Bhuj and Gandhinagar including major initiatives by the Railways and various state government departments valued at over Rs 24000 crorePM Modi will inaugurate the Locomotive Manufacturing Shop at the Rolling Stock Workshop in Dahod constructed by the Railway Ministry at a cost of Rs 21405 croreHe will also dedicate the first 9000 HP locomotive engine developed under the Make in India initiative to the nation an official release saidAlongside this he will inaugurate railway projects worth Rs 2287 crore including the doubling of the AnandGodhra MehsanaPalanpur and RajkotHadmatiya railway lines the 107 km electrification of the SabarmatiBotad railway line and the gauge conversion of the KalolKadiKatosan railway line bringing the total value of railwayrelated works to Rs 23692 croreThe railway production unit in Dahod will provide employment to 10000 people and boost the local economy The locomotive engine manufactured here will have the capacity to haul 4600 tonnes of cargo with a target to produce approximately 1200 engines over the next 10 yearsPM Modi will also inaugurate four Juth Sudharna Pani Purvatha Yojanas worth Rs 181 crore which aims to ensure access to clean drinking water for residents of Mahisagar and DahodatOptionskeyd0ddb8ef8f1a62a8cdd22fac27fc5ea7formatiframeheight90width728params
