President Murmu, PM Modi, others pay tributes to Asha Bhosle

President Droupadi Murmu on Sunday condoled the demise of legendary playback singer Asha Bhosle, describing her passing as a “huge void” in the world of music.

In a message, the President said Bhosle’s remarkable career defined an entire era of Indian music. She also recalled her personal interactions with the singer, noting that Bhosle lived life on her own terms both as an artist and as an individual. Murmu added that her melodious and timeless voice enriched Indian music for decades and would continue to inspire generations.
