Rahul Gandhi, INDIA bloc MPs detained during protest march over SIR roll

Chaos erupted outside Parliament as Rahul Gandhi and several opposition MPs were detained while marching to the Election Commission’s office to protest the Special Intensive Revision of voter rolls in Bihar. Scenes outside the Parliament in New Delhi turned out to be very chaotic on Monday afternoon, as the opposition leaders who were protesting against the Bihar SIR were detained by the Delhi Police. The opposition MPs were marching towards the Election Commission's office from the Parliament, several MPs, including the Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, were detained as the situation began to get problematic. 

Along with the Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, other INDIA bloc MPs were detained by Delhi Police while protesting over Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in poll-bound Bihar and allegations of "voter fraud" during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

As reported by news agency ANI, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut, TMC MP Sagarika Ghose, and other MPs were also among those who have been detained by the Delhi police. The MPs who were detained on Monday were taken to the Parliament Street Police Station in a bus.
