Micro-CT scanners capture detailed insect pictures

It combined a synchrotron particle accelerator, X-ray scanning, robotics, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to produce interactive digital images representing 800 ant species

For more than ten years, researchers have used micro CT scanners to capture detailed images of insect specimens. 

These X-ray scans allow the study of shape and structure of insects. However, producing these images traditionally requires significant time and expense.
