When I first visited the Jaipur Literature Festival, I was a lowly graduate pursuing the first year of my MA degree at JNU. It was the festival’s second edition. My best friend Mona and I went on a zero budget. We wanted to meet Salman Rushdie, Suketu Mehta, and William Dalrymple. And we did.
