The security guard of a minister in the Uttar Pradesh government allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself dead here on Wednesday over a family dispute.

Sarvesh Kumar Singh (50), who was deployed in the security of Tourism Minister Vinod Singh, allegedly shot himself dead with his service revolver in his quarters at the Kalidas residence of the minister in Hazratganj area, police said. Police suspect family dispute as a motive behind the suicide.
