New Delhi: Security was heightened across several schools in the national capital on Monday after they received bomb threat emails, officials confirmed.

According to Delhi Police, Delhi Public School (DPS) Dwarka, Modern Convent School, and ShreeRam World School in Sector 10, Dwarka, received threats from an unidentified email ID. As a precaution, the schools were swiftly evacuated while police personnel and bomb disposal squads conducted extensive checks on the premises.

Though the past two such threats in the city had turned out to be hoaxes, authorities said Monday’s alerts were being taken seriously, with all safety protocols strictly followed to ensure the security of students and staff. Further details on the incident are awaited.
