UNESCO's Director General Audrey Azoulay on Saturday said she shared with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the people of India the pride and joy of the inscription of the 'Maratha Military Landscapes' on the World Heritage List.
'Maratha Military Landscapes', representing extraordinary fortification and military system envisioned by the Maratha rulers, was inscribed on the coveted list on Friday.
This is India's 44th property to receive the recognition.
