In her complaint, Pramila said that she has been teaching sports education in the college for the past five years.

Pramila was popular among students, for which Malaques started harassing her out of professional jealousy. "He not only started using lewd remarks, but also routinely started intimidating me with dire consequences," said Kumar.

"Initially he used to pull me up for lame excuses, but later started abusing me openly. While I asked for an explanation, Malaques asked me to have an affair with him, failing which he would take stern action against me. He has been harassing me for the past many months causing mental and physical harassment,"

"I sought the advice from a senior police officer who was my senior in my college. Based on his advice, I filed a complaint with the Ulsoor Gate police," she told this reporter.

The police have summoned Maleques for explanation, who reportedly said that he would mend his ways and take Kumar back to work.

"I did not want to file a complaint initially, since he has two daughters," Pramila said adding that she decided to approach the police when the harassment became unbearable.

The Ulsoor gate police have taken up a case of outraging the modesty, and criminal intimidation. MiD Day tried to reach Malaques but he was not available for comments.
