Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday addressed the concerns of teachers affected by recent inter-district transfers. He assured that such teachers would be allowed to select three preferred districts for their new postings, reported PTI.
He added that the Education Department has been instructed to accommodate these preferences wherever possible, helping teachers secure positions in their desired or nearby locations. He urged teachers not to worry and to continue focusing on providing quality education.
"Suggestions are being received from various sources regarding the recent teacher transfers conducted by the Education Department. In the process of reviewing this, I have given clear instructions to the Education Department that for teachers facing issues related to inter-district transfers, options for three districts will be obtained from them, after which their postings will be made in those districts only," reported PTI.
