A terror alert was sounded by Navi Mumbai police in Uran on Tuesday, after graffiti regarding terror outfit ISIS, and 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks mastermind Hafiz Saeed was found below Khopte bridge there. Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has also sought details from the Navi Mumbai police and is doing a parallel inquiry, considering that Uran has several sensitive installations.
“Locals spotted the graffiti on the wall of the bridge and informed us. It is suspected to be the work of anti-social elements or sympathisers of terror outfits," said an officer from Uran police station. The graffiti was later removed.
