Thousands of teachers take to streets in Patna on eve of Teachers' Day

The Teacher's Association has also appealed to the teachers who have been selected for awards by the state government not to receive them

On the eve of Teacher's Day, thousands of contractual teachers from Patna, Bihar descended on the streets with their demand of 'equal work, equal pay' and also raised slogans against the Nitish Kumar government. According to news agency IANS, contractual teachers from across the state arrived at Patna's Gardanibagh area and launched their protest under the banner of TET, STET passed Teachers' Association.
