Tejashri, a three-year-old, died after she fell from her 5th floor apartment at Mantri apartments, in Sarjapur yesterday The incident happened at around 3 pm. Tejashri was rushed to the hospital, but she died on the way. Tejashri lived with her parents and a brother, and a maid took care of her while the parents were away.

After the incident, the maid hastened her to the hospital, but Tejshri died on the way. Her parents, IT professionals at CGI, were at work when the incident happened. Police officials confirmed the death and concluded that the accident happened due to horizontal grills, which a child can easily climb. But residents of Mantri apartments told MiD Day that all the apartments have followed safety measures, no such incident has happened before.
