Travel agent sells fake flight tickets for Rs 3.6 lakhs, shuts shop

On their way to Kashmir for summer holiday, 14 members of business family from Akluj get rude shock at city airport

Fourteen members of 39-year-old Akluj businessman Jaideep Borawake’s family, including his wife and two children, who were looking forward to a summer holiday in Kashmir received a rude shock on Monday morning at the Lohegaon airport in the city when Indigo airlines told them all their tickets were fake and the PNR numbers bogus.

Borawake, who has chemical business in Akluj, did not take long to realise that the travel agent, Swakul Deo, who had taken Rs 3.60 lakh from him for air bookings for 14 people, had sent him fake tickets.
