The Uttar Pradesh police have booked a man, who claimed to be a retired army officer, and his aide in connection with alleged rape of a woman here on the false promise of marriage, police said Saturday.
Superintendent of Police (City) Ravindra Singh said a 30-year-old woman, who sings at music events, claimed she first met Mohar Singh, a resident of Saharanpur district, at one such programme where he introduced himself as a retired Colonel.
