The Uttar Pradesh Police have lodged an FIR against gangster-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari's son, Abbas Ansari, for allegedly threatening government officials with payback, at a public rally in Mau district.

Abbas Ansari, who is contesting the Assembly polls as a candidate of the Suheldev Bhartiya Samaj Party (SBSP)-Samajwadi Party alliance, said at a rally that he had asked SP chief Akhilesh Yadav not to transfer officials right away after forming the government, as he has a score to settle with them.
