New Delhi has set up an emergency control room as tensions between the United States and Iran escalate across West Asia, with the government closely monitoring the safety of nearly one crore Indian citizens living and working in the region.
The move follows the Feb 28 US military strike in Iran that killed Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, triggering retaliatory attacks by Iran on Israeli and American military targets across several Gulf countries.
