It won't be smooth sailing for the Women's Reservation Bill. On Monday, the Rajya Sabha was adjourned two times following a ruckus by Rashtriya Janata Dal and Samajwadi Party MPs.

The MPs demanded that the house discuss the Ranganath Mishra Commission, which recommends 10 per cent reservation for Dalit Muslims and Christians in government jobs.

The move is being seen as another attempt by the Samajwadi Party and RJD to stall the Women's Reservation Bill, which is scheduled to come up for voting in the Rajya Sabha. The parties have been opposing the Bill, demanding a quota within the quota for other backward castes and Muslim women.
