Basavaraja Guruji, an astro-numerologist believes that Yeddyurappa should not have daring Kumaraswamy to swear before Lord Manjunatha at the Dharmasthala shrine, when the JD(S) leader accused him of trying to buy his silence on corruption issues. Narayana said he had advised the former CM on some remedial rituals, which Yeddyurappa was following religiously. Deadly black arts? Interestingly, it was none other than Narayana who advised Yeddyurappa not to tender his resignation in Ashada, a month considered inauspicious by Hindus, and the former CM resigned on July 31 after it had ended. After the swearing farce, Yeddyurappa received a jolt in the form of the Lokayukta report on illegal mining, which was submitted to the government on July 27. The mining report was to be submitted by the Lokayukta at 4 pm, but as destiny would have it, it only happened at 4.05 pm.
