Well-known actresses from the Bangla film industry, Mimi Chakraborty and Nusrat Jahan are best of friends who have stood by each other.
The two have acted together in movies like Crisscross, Jamai 420, Yoddha: The Warrior. The duo has also danced together in a Durga Puja song 'AsheyMaaDurgaShey'.
Not just that, the two entered politics together in 2019. Jahan contested the 2019 general election from Basirhat Lok Sabha Constituency. She emerged as the winner by a margin of 350,000 votes against BJP candidate Sayantan Basu.
On the other hand, Mimi contested from Jadavpur Loksabha Constituency in 2019 Indian general election as a Trinamool Congress candidate.
The two are at their goofy best when they are with each other. They have also acted in a few Tiktok videos with each other.

Political newbies Nusrat Jahan and Mimi Chakraborty turned heads when they won West Bengal's Basirhat seat and Jadavpur for Trinamool Congress. They broke the glass ceiling with their choice of western wear during the visit to Parliament for the first time after their victory in the Lok Sabha elections.
The western attire was both hailed and criticised by social media users but this did not bother either one.
Last year, when Nusrat Jahan got married to Nikhil Jain, Mimi took to Instagram to share an image from the wedding functions and wrote, "May u both live the path of happiness together forever."
Nusrat and Mimi even skipped their oath-taking ceremonies due to the Nusrat-Nikhil wedding that was organised at a beachfront resort near the town of Bodrum in Turkey in June 2019.
The two have always protected each other and stood for each other. According to reports, once when the two were on their way out from the Parliament, media swarmed around them. The two initially cooperated but after a point Mimi had to ask them to give way.
Unable to get past the media persons, Mimi went and stood behind Nusrat. Nusrat protectively put her arm around her friend and told them that they cannot push them.
During the promotions of their film Crisscross, Mimi had injured her leg. Nusrat was spotted helping her friend climb the stairs.
