Kangana's support for BJP was never hidden, however her official entry in the party and politics was confirmed after BJP declared her as Lok Sabha candidate from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh
Although Kangana has joined the BJP, her grandfather was the MLA from Congress party from same constituency
Congress however has yet not declared their candidate from Mandi. It is likely that the sitting MP Pratibha Singh will be re-nominated
After her announcement as the Lok Sabha candidate, Kangana met BJP President J P Nadda thanking him for the entrusting her the responsibility
