On 26th August, EAM S Jaishankar and NSA Ajit Doval witnessed the historic day at ISRO headquarters when PM Modi visited the ISRO Telemetry Tracking & Command Network Mission Control Complex in Bengaluru. PM Modi met ISRO Chief Somanath and congratulated scientists involved in the Chandrayaan-3 mission. ISRO Chief S Somanath briefed Prime Minister Narendra Modi about Chandrayaan-3’s success. S Jaishankar, who accompanied PM Modi during his two-nation visit, applauded the success of ISRO scientists. On August 23, ISRO scripted history as Chandrayaan-3’s Lander Module successfully landed on Moon’s surface. India became the first nation in the world to land on the South Pole of the Moon.
