India is embarking on a major industrial transformation with the launch of 12 new Industrial Smart Cities, part of the National Industrial Corridor Development Programme. This ambitious initiative, with a funding of Rs 28,602 crore, is expected to generate up to 1 million direct jobs and 3 million indirect jobs. Union Minister Piyush Goyal highlighted that these industrial corridors will span the entire country, similar to the Golden Quadrilateral network. The new smart cities are poised to boost economic growth, enhance infrastructure, and create a robust industrial ecosystem across India, marking a significant step towards modernizing the nation’s industrial landscape.
