Tamil Nadu BJP President K Annamalai on November 21 slammed Rahul Gandhi over his remarks insinuating that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had brought ill luck to India’s cricket team in the World Cup final, which he attended in Ahmedabad on November 19. Talking to ANI on the ‘Panauti’ remark controversy, K Annamalai said that it takes courage for any Prime Minister to be in a stadium when India is clearly at a losing point. “Congress as a party when it gets desperate. it wants to abuse the PM... It needs courage for a prime minister to be in the stadium when India is on the losing side. It shows the character of PM, his definition of success. The PM’s definition of success is very simple, how do you play with what dignity you conducted yourself, how do you put your country first?... The PM was there in person after a hard day of campaigning in Rajasthan, he sat for the last 10 or over, and he met the audience... He visited the dressing room and consoled each player... This is a PM who has been showing to India continuously for the last 9 years,” said Annamalai.
