PM Narendra Modi came down heavily against Congress for giving away Katchatheevu island to Sri Lanka in 1974. PM accused the Congress and former PM Indira Gandhi of weakening India’s unity, integrity and interests. PM took to X and wrote that Congress “callously” gave away the island of Katchatheevu to Sri Lanka. Earlier in August 2023, PM Modi had said in Lok Sabha that it was the Indira Gandhi govt, which gave away Katchatheevu to Sri Lanka. Watch video for more.
