Dejection and disappointment

Right now, there is dejection, disappointment playing heavily on my mind. Also, there is a lack of hope in a person (Rahul Gandhi), who I have now begun to idolise.

However, in one corner of my mind there is expectation that Rahul Gandhi will use his good offices to ensure I get my Padma Shri award, which I think I fully deserve.

I have written to him twice and not yet got a response. As I have stressed earlier, there are some very deserving people who have got the award, some from my own sporting fraternity. I expect justice to be done. My wait has been long and frustrating.
