Being on duty for 12 hours at a stretch is stressful and hence health problems are unavoidable. To avoid overworking the RPF, firstly their working hours should be reduced.
The earlier eight-hour shifts should be reintroduced and the salaries of the RPF should be doubled.

Apart from a pay hike, they should be provided free accommodation and their children should be provided free education. The government should make provisions to improve their working conditions as well.
If the police are satisfied if their work and pay packages, corruption can also be curbed. The police force makes innumerable sacrifices, and yet their efforts often go unnoticed.
