Another day, another uproar in Parliament.

Following reports of the Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha being adjourned again, senior journalist Tavleen Singh tweeted: 'Ordinary people are losing faith because of this constant chaos. It is too much noise without reason.'

Someone using the handle True Indian blamed the opposition: 'The BJP game plan is to stall parliament and then claim it didn't function.'

And there was this, from a certain Abhishek Sharma: 'The title Rise of the Planet of the Apes seems more relevant after seeing parliament at work.'

Shooting the messenger
Soon after downgrading America's ratings, agency Standard & Poor cautioned that it could lower the sovereign ratings of countries like India. Naturally, it became a trending topic. Jonathan Schwarz, presumably an American, commented: 'Possible ways to get our AAA rating back: (1) raise taxes; (2) cut spending; or (3) just start paying S&P for ratings the way Wall Street does.' It also helped Rodney Odoi create a new joke: 'Your mama is so poor she raised the debt ceiling and S&P still downgraded her.'

Ex-rated

The topic 'message to my ex ufffd' made a whole lot of people say a whole lot of nasty things to their former lovers. Stuff like this, for instance - 'thank you for showing me exactly what I don't want in a person', 'I still think I was drunk during that whole relationship', 'sorry you got my name tattooed', 'you always told me I deserve better than you and I got it' and 'I hope you slip on an ice cube, fall, hit your head really hard but not die, just go into a coma.'

The last word

Here is proof that the actress Preity Zinta doesn't like Mumbai's roads either: 'Potholes have become so big that they are now being considered for housing projects. Interested parties please contact the BMC.'
