IPL not priority right now, says Ponting

With eight players already out of contention for places in his team and with a hectic schedule looming, Australian skipper Ricky Ponting is resigned to the fact that he will have to make do with a depleted side from time to time in the near future.

He categorically dismisses concerns about the IPL contributing to injuries in the past and exacerbating the problem in future.

"There has been a lot made about the IPL," he said yesterday. "I think we have to worry about the international programme before we worry about the IPL."
