Nayak ya khalnayak?

Politics is murky, it's putrid.u00a0 We heap the choicest abuses upon it. Yet, I think we shall never be able to plumb the stygian depths of it.

The recent entry of actor Sanjay Dutt further underscores the universally dirty image of politics. What's worse is that an equally corrupt politician Amar Singh is promotingu00a0 Dutt, who has a dubious past and present and this is unlikely to change in the future. But is Dutt eligible to contest elections. What is hisu00a0 contribution to the country?

His farther may have been an honest politician and his mother a fine actress, but that does not say anything about him. If tainted politicians are elected, it's the people who are to be blamed. We are collectively responsible for getting such people into power.u00a0u00a0u00a0u00a0u00a0u00a0u00a0u00a0
