Of parrots and runaways

Let me catch a parrot first, only then will I be able to predict when he will be arrested ufffd mumbled a top cop casually. He is associated with the investigations to track down the runaway prisoner who recently made a daring escape from Yerawada jail.

This surprising comment from a cop resulted in a light moment, and our only reply to him was, "Try nabbing a parrot at least if you can't nab the runaway prisoner and then see if you can save your counterparts from further badnaami!"'

I was just amazed to see how cops have picked upu00a0 these skills ufffd to look at the serious side of life through their special rose-coloured spectacles, which only helps them to look at burning issues in a lighter vein.

We, on the other hand, were horrified at the convict's daring attempt to escape from Yerawada Central Prison to escape. For us, the attempt exposed holes in security.

In fact, the manner in which the prisoner sneaked weapons inside the prison has paved the way for others. He has also set an example of how one can assemble hooks and pipes and build a ladder to scale the height of the walls that of the prison!

It seems everyone has mastered the skill of hiding things which can cost them their jobs!

Prison authorities received more breathing time from the government to file a report on this 'path-breaking' case. And I am sure, getting more time means they get enough time to work out a strategy to cover everything possible and thus save themselvesu00a0 from further shame.

Interestingly, 10 days have already passed after the prisoner escaped from the prison but the cops are still unable to track him down.

Either they feel it is totally unimportant, or they feel they have better things to do in life. I will, maybe,u00a0 catch a parrot to see which of the two is true!
