Our politicians never hesitate to appear on television to give their comment on any issue, irrespective of how much it concerns their people or sphere of influence. No debate or discussion is spared, even if it started in some other end of the world, far from the country's own sorrows and troubles.

But, I am certain, no politico would ever dare to sit on the hot seat of the reality show 'Sach Ka Saamna', even on the condition that they won't be asked any objectionable question on sex and other personal matters. What fun would it be, if we saw the veteran netas blushing red in the face! I'm sure nothing will make Indians happier. Imagine the likes of Amar Singh, Lalu Prasad Yadav, Mayawati, Sharad Pawar, Narendra Modi, Pranav Mukherjee, Arun Jaitley and Sita Ram Yechurry taking that forbidden test, and failing it in their faces.

How about throwing questions like: Do you know anyone who has an account in the Swiss bank? Do political parties demand money in the name of distributing tickets? Is there a single politician who contests elections within the budget fixed by Election Commission? Is there a single politician for whom a social cause is more important than personal ambition?

I know, no politician will dare to face it, and if they do, every answer will have the polygraph test disagreeing. This is the only one way to bring to book the otherwise most fearless lot of men roaming the streets; the only way to introduce them to cowardice in full public view, when it comes to facing the truth.

So, how about a change in the list of contestants to come? Is it not our right to know the deep, dark secrets of Indian politics, as citizens who pay through our nose to get these guys where they are? The purpose, of course, would be not to humiliate them, but grill them respectfully and uncover what's otherwise hidden effortlessly with glib talk. With each true answer, the viewers will definitely clap, and just in case the man in the hot seat is declared winner, he will earn much more than a crore the respect of the whole of India.
