Stop reckless construction

This is with reference to your article on the mad rush for MHADA flats. Around 88,222 forms were sold for 3,863 flats yesterday.

On one hand, Mumbai is facing an acute water shortage, and on the other, MHADA keeps constructing more buildings. None of these new buildings have provisions for 24-hour water supply. The BMC should turn to the water harvesting system. It is important to emphasise on methods to conserve water.u00a0u00a0u00a0u00a0

The onus is on the state government to ensure that while Mumbaikars are provided with proper housing, they do not suffer from water shortage due to reckless construction.u00a0
