Be it in a war, honour killings, suicide or other forms of violence, the result is the same ufffd the loss of an innocent life. Is human life so cheap? Violence does not lead to anything. It only results in degeneration of the moral fabric of society.
This fact bothers me even more each day now, as I get ready for my new play, which will be staged in June. Titled Apples & Walnuts, the play is set against the backdrop of Kashmir and is the catharsis of two mothers who have lost their young sons to terrorism. Through this play we hope to spread the message of peace and love during troubled times.
