Like all other whistleblowers, Sundar Singh Jadhav did good by blowing the lid off the kidney racket, but all he has got in return are death threats. And even though he is central to the investigation and is the star witness in the case, the police have not granted him protection.

A front-page report in this paper yesterday stated that Jadhav was changing hideouts every day to escape the multiple death threats. The police have allegedly told him to wait until the chargesheet is ready. But as Jadhav rightly asks, what if something happens to him by then?
