Participation registrations for HindAyan, a multi-stage cycle race along the lines of the legendary Tour De France, began over the weekend. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde launched the website of the event at his official residence Varsha, last week.
The race will be flagged off from New Delhi’s National War Memorial on February 5 and culminate 1,600 kilometres away at Sinhagad near Pune on February 19 to coincide with the birth anniversary of warrior king Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
