Lifestyle in India is changing and we are turning modern day after day. But this change is like a double-edged sword. While the urban women are marching towards the pinnacle of success, 'modernity' in the villages is flaunted by making use of new methods of female infanticide. <br /><br />Cases of female infanticide have been on my mind lately. My heart sinks at every news article I read about parents giving up on a girl child. The recent news of doctors pumping male hormones into an infant girl's body and putting her through a surgery is the limit.<br /><br />I never believed in societal pressure but now the parental thought process has deepened the wound in me. I want to tell every citizen that if you want a child be ready to accept a girl or a boy.
