It is action stations as the city got a Rs 947-crore redevelopment plan for 19 of the most crowded stations to be made ready within 18 months of contracts being given. A report in this paper stated how crowded and cluttered key Mumbai stations are set to go a level up, in order to de-clutter them.

There are plans for multiple decks and foot overbridges. An official in the report said that there are plans for segregated entry-exit points, too. The plan is improvisation and upgradation of a number of stations on the Western and Central line. These stations are very old and have to be upgraded to keep up with the times and increasing footfall. There are plans for green spaces, ATMs, circulating areas and a lot of other aspects that need looking into.
