The battle for the Ashes may be over for the time being, but the entrenched rivalry between traditional cricketing foes England and Australia simmers unabated.
England had a providential escape in the first of the abandoned two-match Twenty20 series at Old Trafford on Sunday (yesterday's was washed out without a ball being bowled), but that has not prevented England pace bowler Ryan Sidebottom from rubbing salt into Australian wounds.
