The 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks have shown that Pakistan based LeT is an extremely dangerous organisation, the US has said and asked the world community to undertake serious efforts to check its terrorist activities.

"Lashkar-e-Taiba is obviously an extremely dangerous organisation. The events in Mumbai dramatically have shown that," the State Department spokesman, Ian Kelly, told reporters at his daily news briefing.

"They are willing to undertake operations across borders and that, by definition, I think, would make them a very dangerous organisation that the whole international community should take seriously," he said.

When asked about recent developments indicating that Pakistan-based terrorist organisations like LeT and Jaish e-Mohammed, trying to win over the hearts and minds of the some of the American youths, Kelly said it is a matter of concern. "It is absolutely an issue of concern for us," he said.

"It points out the need for concerted international action. Because of modern technology, these kinds of organisations with their murderous message can they can promulgate their views anywhere in the world. Anybody who has a computer can have access to this brutal propaganda," Kelly said.

"It just points out the need for all countries to work together. It also points out the importance of the partnership that we have with Pakistan in meeting this common challenge," Kelly said.
