56 per cent Americans want Donald Trump to be convicted: poll

A new poll has revealed that 56 per cent Americans want former US President Donald Trump to be convicted in his second Senate impeachment trial slated to begin this week, as well as a ban against holding federal office ever again.

A new poll has revealed that 56 per cent Americans want former US President Donald Trump to be convicted in his second Senate impeachment trial slated to begin this week, as well as a ban against holding federal office ever again.

The ABC News/Ipsos poll released on Sunday revealed that 46 per cent of those surveyed from February 5-6 disagreed. During Trump’s first impeachment trial in January 2020, an ABC News/Washington Post found that 47 per cent Americans wanted Trump’s removal, while 49 per cent said he shouldn’t.
