The saucy instruction is being offered to primary school-age girls in Bolton, Greater Manchester. The firm behind the classes defends them, saying it's all about improving their fitness.

But one unnamed parent said, "They advertise as being aerobics/ gymnastics with a pole but if you see the pictures, this is not the case."
A Christian group and MP have previously slammed similar lessons for children as young as 12 in Plymouth, accusing them of "sexualising" young girls.
Miss Pole Dance 2011 champion, Jess Norris, who runs the classes, insisted they were a "fantastic" way for kids to keep fit.

She said, "There is nothing sexual about the classes. What I teach is pole fitness, nothing else. There is nothing at all rude going on."
