A bomb exploded outside the J P Morgan offices in Athens late last night (IST), causing minor damages, the police said.
There were no immediate reports of injuries.
An anonymous caller tipped off a newspaper and the police had time to clear the area before the explosion. Police cars, ambulan- ces and fire engines blocked the streets to the JP Morgan office, a witness said.
"It was a time-bomb," said a cop, who declined to be named. "The explosion damaged the outside door and smashed some windows."
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
Banks and foreign companies are a frequent target for bomb attacks in Greece, which has been rocked by a wave of urban violence since the police shooting of a teenager in December 2008.
